Chaudhary Mahendra Singh son of Mr ghasita Singh was from a simple family lived in a village named Shah Kulipur in Meerut. At that time there was no educational institution in Garhmukteshwar due to which the children of that district couldn't get education.Being a teacher he dreamt of establishing an educational institution in the holy and historical place named Garhmukteshwar so that the development of that region could take place.Providing education to all the children of that district became a mission for him as he believed that without education no development can take place of any region .He worked day and night for fulfilling his dream and made incessant efforts for the development of that district.He always worked for the welfare of the society due to which he named the college as Dr.Ram Manohar Lohia ,The pioneer of Socialism in India .Due to his efforts he established the very first high school in Garhmukteshwar in 1970 and first Inter College in 1975 in Garhmukteshwar.
